Videoconferencing in NI Schools

aquinas ICTA new book called Videoconferencing for Schools: Pedagogy and Practice has been published about videoconferencing in NI schools.

The book describes the unique capabilities of videoconferencing technology and  suggests how they can be used to enhance and enrich the curriculum by providing  examples of good practice from schools across Northern Ireland.

The book is also a practical guide to  setting up, organising and implementing a videoconferencing session.

The book is written by Marie Martin who is a former teacher of Modern Languages and  former International Officer with the Western Education and Library Board.  She is one of the first educationalists  in Northern Ireland to explore the creative use of videoconferencing in education. In this book Marie Martin shares with the reader her diverse knowledge and experience.

C2k will be sending 2 free copies of the book to all schools in NI in September 2008. However, if you can't wait until then to read it you can buy a copy online from Guildhall Press for £9.99.
