ICT for Education starts its national conference programme in Belfast this year. The Conference will be held in the Hilton International Hotel in Belfast on Friday 11 March. The conference will include two streams of influential conference speakers, a series of best practice workshops and a supplier exhibition demonstrating all the latest products and services on offer.
Refreshments will be available throughout the day and there will be plenty of time to network with colleagues, question speakers, discuss best practice and browse the exhibition space.
The Belfast event is designed specifically for local education professionals. Among the highlights of the day are conference speakers including:
Tim Rylands – an inspirational learning consultant who will present tools and ideas to raise childrenʼs levels of creativity
Brian McAuley – a manager at C2k who will be joined by teaching and learning colleagues to discuss the quality and value of C2kʼs virtual classroom and video conferencing service
David Stinson and Barry Corrigan – award winning teachers from Sullivan Upper School and Millennium Integrated Primary School who will share their experience and enthusiasm for ICT with you
Tom Jackson – the head of Microsoft Educationʼs business in Northern Ireland who will tackle the issue of skilling children to meet the needs of the 21st century
Tony Carlin – a senior official at the Irish National Teachers Organisation who will look at the impact on teachers when ICT solutions fail to live up to expectations
Eddie McArdle – the registrar of the General Teaching Council for Northern Ireland who will discuss developments in teaching in Northern Ireland.
