Do you have students struggling with literacy? This could be the answer!

PenfriendXP is a simple word predictor and clipboard reader. Open your word processor and then open PenfriendXP. The two programs run together. As you type, PenfriendXP will provide a list of possible words you may want.  It has a simple interface which allows users to change settings via the View menu. TextHelp! Read and Write9 is a sophisticated program which includes a wide range of features: dictionary, fact finder, homophones, PDF reader, scanning, screen masking, spelling, translator, word prediction and word wizard.

Primary schools - Read and Write is available to all users in primary schools automatically.

Post Primary schools will already have PenfriendXP and will have to allocate Read and Write to computers. Be aware that it is a large application.  It is suggested that the software is allocated to those computers in ALL departments that will be used by students with dyslexia.
